One of the major changes we had RPAS 13.3 or later, was the introduction of the concept Cardinality and Re-Indexing Threshold. This concept was developed to solve big issues about space management and capacity of dimensions within the RPAS.

Always when we’re working with any tool, we always need to prepare to some environments like training or, in the case above, to validate any errors that are occurring in production environment, this isn’t different in the RPAS.
The best practices tell us that when we find an error is recommended copy the domain to non-production environment; this environment we can validate the error and also test and validate any correction possible.

One of the support activities with a solution in RPAS is the maintenance of domains. Sometimes it’s necessary and happens due many different issues, but normally are related with the activities of business area.
During the maintenance, sometimes we have to add new domains in the solution; when it happens, the technical team needs to act to resolve this problem faster till business area needs the tools.
When working with a solution within the ConfigTools, we need to establish the measures set that will be used. These measures will be responsible for making the calculations or serve consultation within the workbooks or to be exported to other systems

After a little vacation, we back our activities! In this post, we will explain some settings of the hierarchies within the ConfigTools and some care that is needed during this step.
As we explained in RPAS Configuration Tools (Part 2) – Details about project components, when we created the project, the tool creates 5 (five) default hierarchies, they are: CLND (calendar/time), LOC (location), PROD (product), ADMU (user administration) and LNGS (languages).
