After losing time to prepare a Virtual Machine (VM) for using the RPAS Server 14.1; I am here to writing this post to help all those who need to install an environment for this new version, as with me!
Continuing our posts about the activities of support, how we saw in How to add a domain in a solution?, it’s very common add some domains in solution. But sometimes we need to manage our environment because of any limitations. So, today we’ll talk about when we need to move or delete some domains within a solution.
Over the time, it’s very natural for any application grow in size and, consequently, hardware needs. Because that, each project delivery or enhancements we always need to evaluate the impact of data volumes and hardware performance. Continue reading
One of the support activities with a solution in RPAS is the maintenance of domains. Sometimes it’s necessary and happens due many different issues, but normally are related with the activities of business area.
During the maintenance, sometimes we have to add new domains in the solution; when it happens, the technical team needs to act to resolve this problem faster till business area needs the tools.
When working with a solution within the ConfigTools, we need to establish the measures set that will be used. These measures will be responsible for making the calculations or serve consultation within the workbooks or to be exported to other systems
Due this responsibility, one of the most important and required areas in ConfigTools is the “Measure Manager”. This area contains all elements necessary for creating and maintaining the measures; We can understand how they work within the workbooks and business rules. Continue reading
As I promised last year, this year we’ll write about differences solutions that we have within the RPAS. Among the solutions we’re going to talk during this year, one is Advanced Inventory Planning (AIP).
O Advanced Inventory Planning (AIP) is one of the most powerful and complex application that exist within the RPAS solutions. This solution has designed to support major retailers, with need to control a large number of products and inventory information .
Another year is over! It’s time to remember all thing about this year; many things have happened: some bad (is true), but several good things (for sure).
I would like to leave my message of Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! which this new year, many new achievements and success happen for everybody.
I want to inform all those people who sent messages and/or questions about the different applications in RPAS: RDF, AssortPlan, MFP, AIP, etc ..
From next year, I’ll start writing about the RPAS applications: RDF, AssortPlan and AIP. I know there are several questions about each application, but I hope to help everybody with these new materials.
After a little vacation, we back our activities! In this post, we will explain some settings of the hierarchies within the ConfigTools and some care that is needed during this step.
As we explained in RPAS Configuration Tools (Part 2) – Details about project components, when we created the project, the tool creates 5 (five) default hierarchies, they are: CLND (calendar/time), LOC (location), PROD (product), ADMU (user administration) and LNGS (languages).
Continuing the post about ConfigTools, today we will describe more about each project component. As we saw in post RPAS Configuration Tools (Part 1) – First step in ConfigTools, each project contains 4 (four) components, they are:
Each component provides project needs, so we will explain each one in detail to that everyone understands and can work correctly with respect to each component: Continue reading
When developers and analysts begin to working with RPAS is necessary that they has knowledge about the platform (concepts and constraints), but for them have the expected results to happen, it is necessary to know about RPAS Configuration Tools, the ConfigTools.
The ConfigTools is responsible for handling different projects and solutions in RPAS, it can create or change the metrics, business rules and the different definitions of the workbooks that are used for many solutions.
The RPAS Server installation is the first step to construction of development work or production environment. The installation is very simple and does not take long, but you need to pay attention to some points.
Although it is very basic, some steps are not well known by most people who develop. Continue reading
